Hello and welcome to inshapeinweeks.com! I’m James and I’m here to help you reach your fitness goals. Whether it’s getting the body you always wanted, or even just shedding a few pounds to get in better shape, I firmly believe that you will achieve your goals given that you’re willing to apply what you learn.
My promise to you…
I promise you that if you are willing to put in a little bit of effort, whether it’s getting back into exercise, changing your diet or both, that you will reach your desired fitness level. It takes time, but I believe that anyone can make a significant change in a matter of a few weeks if they are committed and know what they’re doing.
This site was made to help guide you on your way and should teach you the basic essentials of getting into shape but will also go into more detail about certain aspects of getting into the best shape of your life.
A bit about me…
Now, a bit about me. I love the outdoors, swimming, traveling, hiking, parkour, lifting weights, general academia, comedy movies, among other things. I really love activity in general, whether it’s physical or mental. My fitness journey began when I was 13 and I’ll admit I didn’t know exactly what I was doing at first. I’d maintain a terrible diet and would go workout days in a row on the same body part. Of course I didn’t really gain much.
Given that, I decided to take a step back and do some research first. I researched as much as I could in things like dieting, exercise plans, different exercises for different goals, and even supplements that could help me.
Boy did I spend a lot of time researching supplements. However, I eventually learned that most supplements found in supplements stores are pretty useless and the main components to getting a killer body and getting in shape are exercise, nutrition, and sleep.
So I got a plan together with the focus on those main components. Then not surprisingly, I started making progress. I continued on with my fitness goals and became very committed the past few years. I went from being underweight at 130 pounds, to a weight that I find very comfortable for daily activities and hobbies at around 200-205.
Now, 205 may sound like a lot to some but it all depends on your bone structure and proportions. I, for example would feel quite skinny at 175 or below at this point. It’s up to you to decide what the right weight is for your body and it will be a different number for everybody.
I am not a doctor. What I discuss is based on a mixture of research through reliable studies, and my own personal experience. It’s up to you to decide whether my advice will apply for your goals. Everyone is different and what may work for some, may not work for everyone.
Anyway, I hope this site can help you the way other fitness sites have helped me in the past in educating myself in order to reach my fitness goals. If you have any questions then you can connect with me by posting a comment in the section below and I’ll be happy to assist you in any way I can.
